🔥 HAVE FIRE SAFETY HOUSE, WILL TRAVEL 🔥

Look what just rolled into the station! We are absolutely thrilled to debut our brand-new Tangipahoa Parish Fire District #1 Inflatable Fire Safety House! 🚒💨

As you can see, Chief of Fire Prevention CJ Pardue is already out here testing it out (and clearly practicing his best game show host presentation skills 😉).

This awesome new house is willing to travel all across the parish to give kids a fun, hands-on, and completely interactive way to learn life-saving fire safety tips. From practicing "Stop, Drop, and Roll" to learning how to safely exit a smoke-filled room, we can't wait to get this put to use in our community schools and events!

Btw, how many of you understood the play on words in the title? 🤠

💐Happy Mother’s Day!!!💐

To Fire Moms everywhere:

It takes a special kind of heart to raise a kid who grows up to run into the buildings everyone else is running out of. We literally wouldn’t be here without you 😂. We also know it was you who instilled discipline and structure during moments of chaos. We love you!

To the Mothers of Tangipahoa Parish Fire District #1, thank you for being our backup, our backbone, and our biggest fans. We hope your day is filled with flowers, relaxation, and absolutely zero sirens! 🚒💐

What an honor! We are happy to call Chief Hayden a friend. Congratulations, you deserve every great blessing that comes your way.

Congratulations to Northshore EMT Robert Hayden on his recognition as this week's Acadian Ambulance President's Performance Award recipient!

Robert, an EMT-Basic, joined Acadian and our Northshore Region nearly 20 years ago and has been an outstanding representative for our patients as well as a dedicated mentor to his peers. In addition to his long tenure with Acadian, he also serves as Assistant Chief for the Loranger Fire Department.

When he is not serving his community in these dual roles, Robert enjoys spending time with his wife and son.

Robert’s calm demeanor consistently helps turn challenging situations into positive outcomes. His professionalism has fostered many lasting relationships with both patients and colleagues, and he continues to demonstrate excellence in every aspect of his work.

🚨 Congratulations 🚨

Assistant Fire Chief Jason King has successfully completed the Louisiana Fire Chiefs Academy and is now a Certified Fire Executive! 🎖️

This was no easy feat—the academy is a rigorous two-year program designed to equip fire service leaders with the high-level skills necessary to excel. The curriculum included demanding courses on executive leadership, complex budgeting, and employee assistance programs.

To graduate, each student was required to complete a comprehensive capstone project and defend their findings before a board of peers. Chief King’s dedication and hard work have truly paid off, and we are incredibly proud of his accomplishment.

“The Louisiana Fire Chiefs Association is an incredible organization that, through programs such as the Fire Chiefs Academy, is preparing current and future generations of fire service leaders," Chief King said. "Owning your career means understanding that every decision you make and every skill you refine contributes to a larger mission. When others see you treating your role with respect and purpose, it gives them the permission and the motivation to do the same. I hope this will inspire others to take advantage of every opportunity to develop their own careers.”

We also want to send a shoutout to our buddies at Livingston Parish Fire Protection District 4 Congratulations to Chief Craig Roberts, Chief Gary Boudreaux, and Fire Prevention Officer Matt Gallman for grinding it out and crossing the finish line right alongside Chief King. We couldn’t be prouder to call these men colleagues and friends.

Keep leading the way, fellas—you truly reflect the core values of the fire service!

🚨Burn Ban in Place🚨

AMITE—A burn ban is in effect for Tangipahoa Parish.

Effective immediately, due to the extremely dry conditions and at the request of the parish’s local fire chiefs, Tangipahoa Parish President Robby Miller has issued a parish-wide burn ban.

“After talking with the fire chiefs and upon review of the local forecast, we agree that a burn ban is appropriate at this time,” Miller said.

The burn ban goes into effect immediately and will remain in place until rescinded. Miller said the ban includes all open residential and commercial burning. The ban does not include bar-b-que pits, grills, or fire pits; however, the parish president asks that citizens “use extreme caution” if they do so.
