During National Home Visiting Week, we’re proud to highlight the amazing work happening in Muscatine!

Today, we proudly recognize the outstanding Early Childhood team serving Muscatine County!

With a holistic network of services, the Muscatine team strengthens families and supports healthy child development through personalized home visiting using the Healthy Families America (HFA) and Parents as Teachers (PAT) models. Their work nurtures strong parent-child relationships and empowers families to thrive.

In addition, Care Coordinator services connect families in crisis to vital community resources and support, ensuring no family feels alone in their journey.

Led by Service Coordinator Melissa Tucker, this team brings compassion, dedication, and heart to every family they serve.

An overview of car seats from newborns to children ready for seatbelts with an emphasis on the newborn period. Taught by a certified Child Passenger Safety Technician (CPST).

Breastfeeding Basics - December 12
Start breastfeeding off right by starting a plan now. Taught by an International Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC).

Newborn Care - December 19
Everything you need to know about the fourth trimester with your baby from the first few hours through the first months at home.

Our costumes are out on display and ready for check out!

Our collection consists of sizes infant through 4X and we have over 200 costumes to choose from! There are lots of opportunities to wear your costume before Halloween!

You can wear your costume to the Spook Parade happening on October 17th at 5 PM. That same night, our All Ages Halloween BINGO will be happening here at the library from 6-6:45 PM! Our Halloween Trivia for Adults takes place on October 22nd at 7 PM- Extra points if you wear your costume! On October 29th at 5:30 PM will be our Family Halloween Storytime. Lastly, there is Halloween! We will be having Trick-or-Treat at the library where you can come pick out a treat and a book!
