We're 4 DAYS out from our 2026 APA Elementary Walk-A-thon!

Where is the Walk-A-Thon?
Our cadets will walk rain or shine on Thursday, September 3, 2026. If it's nice outside, we will walk laps at Jackson Park. If it's not-so-great outside, we will walk inside our gym during specials classes. It will be a great day to raise some money for great causes!

If you know of a business or someone who would like to donate, please reach out to Capt. Stottlemyer at [email protected]. You can most definitely designate where you'd like your funds to go, like sponsoring all field trip costs for 4th grade, or sponsoring the transportation costs for our field trip to BizTown, etc.

Want to donate for APA Elementary's Walk-A-Thon but don’t know where to start?

Maybe going to the Indianapolis Zoo was something YOU still remember about elementary school. How about sponsoring the mileage to the zoo?! 44.0 miles from APA Elementary to the Indianapolis Zoo. $44 sounds like a great start.

Want to do mileage there and back? 88.0 miles, $88!

Want to sponsor a specific trip or maybe donate in honor of someone? Let us know! We'd love to make that happen for you.

Big experiences start with small steps. Walk with us. Help lead us down the path to nurturing inquisitive minds. Those 44 miles to the Indy Zoo opens a world of possibilities to a child who would have never thought that studying their favorite animal could become a full-time job. They then spend the 44 miles back to school dreaming about how to become a marine biologist.

Who's walking in a Walk-A-Thon?

All cadets K-5 will participate! It's a fun day to enjoy the outdoors and walk with (and for) a purpose! We make sure to have a great time for them during their walk. Teachers in crazy inflatable outfits, chalk, tattoos, bubbles, all of the above.

Want to do mileage there and back? 65.8 miles, we'll round up to $66!

Want to sponsor a specific trip or maybe donate in honor of someone? Let us know! We'd love to make that happen for you.

Those 32.9 miles to BizTown opens a world of possibilities to a child who would have never seen themselves growing up to be Mayor of a city. They then spend the 32.9 miles back dreaming about how to make it a reality.
