🏳️‍🌈 Happy Pride Month Annapolis! This month is about love, inclusion, visibility, and the celebration of what makes each of us who we are. I am so incredibly thankful for all the amazing people, activists, volunteers, and organizers who have uplifted the LGBTQIA+ community in Annapolis. I especially want to thank Annapolis Pride for its amazing work celebrating and supporting the LGBTQIA+ community in Annapolis and around Maryland!

I am incredibly proud to stand as an ally with this community. Whether in the State House or in the street, I will always be there to speak up and stand beside you as we fight for a future where everyone can live openly, safely, and authentically.

Congratulations to Travis and Cara on the grand opening of their new store in Eastport, MRE Mercantile Mens Clothier! They have put countless hours into bringing this unique clothing option to Annapolis, and I’m thrilled I could be with them for their big day. The last bill signing of the Spring held one of my favorite bills for our communities! Senator Nancy King and I passed a long term funding formula increase for Maryland's State Library Resource Center. This funding supports many of the critical programs our libraries provide, such as internet access, the interlibrary loan system, and homework help for our students. This small state investment makes a huge impact, and I am an enthusiastic supporter of Maryland libraries and a big believer in their benefits for our communities.

I'm incredibly proud to announce the Mid-Atlantic Pipe Trades Association has endorsed my re-election campaign! Their locals represent over 11,000 working members in the Plumbing and Pipe Fitting industry across Maryland, working on critical infrastructure and development projects in every corner of our state. I've consistently voted to support labor throughout my time in the legislature, and I look forward to continuing to stand with my union brothers and sisters in the future!

This Memorial Day, we honor the courage and sacrifice of the men and women who gave their lives for our country. As we enjoy time with family and friends, let us reflect on the generations of servicemen and women who paid the ultimate price for the freedoms we hold dear.

I am deeply grateful to all of the incredible people and organizations who work tirelessly to honor our fallen heroes and our veterans, not just today, but every day throughout the year.
