U.S. Naval Academy ⚓🎓 Commissioning Week⚓🎓 is May 16-22
The United States Naval Academy will celebrate the graduation and Commissioning Ceremony for the Class of 2026 on Friday, May 22.

As of May 11, 2026, the United States Naval Academy has reopened to the public.

At this time, general public access to the Naval Academy yard is permitted for pedestrians through Gate 1 (Randall at King George) or Gate 8 (Hospital Point). An increased security posture remains in place. Please be aware that delays, screenings, and temporary restrictions may occur.

In the days before the official Commissioning Ceremony at Navy Marine Corps Memorial Stadium, Annapolis will play host to the U.S. Navy's Blue Angels.
⚓On Tuesday (May 19): the Blue Angels will arrive at 11 a.m. for Circle and Arrival, followed by a Flight Rehearsal at 2 p.m.
🎓On Wednesday (May 20): they'll put on the full air show at 2 p.m.

What you should know:
🎓Expect increased traffic, especially downtown and near the Naval Academy.
⚓Be patient with out-of-town visitors who may be unfamiliar with our roads.
🎓Stay tuned to the City’s website and social media for event schedules, road closures, and parking updates.
