VASE - funding support for Mission: Possible 2026 & beyond!
A small group of like-minded Veterans met today to launch VASE - Veterans Alliance for Support & Empowerment - a 501c3 which will be the funding piece of Mission: Possible and other outreach events. The original funding was through ARPA (COVID) funding as part of a WDVA Supplemental Grant. Then, Calumet, Outagamie, and Winnebago Counties pooled a large portion of their grants to fund Mission: Possible 2024. Since that funding no longer exists and many still want to participate in Mission: Possible due to its unique approach, several came together for this initiative.
The idea behind "VASE" is that we're all broken in some form or fashion - some more than others. However, with the right tools, support, connections, and "glue," we can become whole again, often stronger and more beautiful than the original vase. That's the idea behind the Japanese art of Kintsugi: the centuries-old art of repairing broken pottery with gold and from where we draw inspiration.
Continue to keep an eye on this page. We hope to re-launch the website soon, too. We will share a donation link as well for those who believe in Mission: Possible - every dollar counts & will be meticulously tracked like our last event!
There will be a LOT of volunteer opportunities coming up to plan a MAJOR event again, and if you would like to consider joining the VASE Board of Directors, there may be an opportunity for you to serve there, too! Thanks for keeping an eye peeled here for the next incredible event!
