What are the odds of meeting your brother and friend at Eclipse Happy hour at Beckets. We have not talked texted or emailed in more than two times in 15 years. He lives 114 miles away. I went there in hopes they would have eclipse gasses so I could watch the event. I expected to be totally alone. We talked, we viewed, we took pictures, we met new friends, we drank. We had fun. Election day of April 2,2024 is coming soon. I want to thank everyone that has voted or will be voting on that final election day. Your vote absolutely counts.
For the past few months, I have attempted to meet everyone who resides and is registered to vote in District 32 of Winnebago County. I have come to your door. I have introduced myself, asked for your concerns or interest in any county issue or program, and requested a phone call or an email if anything comes up in the future. I want to thank the 700 plus residents who were home and able to answer their door, thereby giving me the opportunity to shake your hand. Many times, your hand was carefully holding your excited canine friend. I had to talk loud and fast. Many times, you had only 20 to 30 seconds to spare. Of course, you did not have me in your schedule for the day. I thank you for those seconds. That said, there were many who did have a concern or issue to express. Believe me I took many notes and have been or will be working to address those issues to the extent that I can. I have done this before, and I have learned to appreciate and respect the differing opinions of everyone willing to share concerns with me.
Your vote absolutely counts. If you choose, I will be honored to serve you once again on the Winnebago County Board

I attended the March bi-monthly Greater Oshkosh Economic Development Corporation board meeting this morning at Sage Hall College of Business, UWO this morning. It turned out to be emotional for me. UWO is where I worked in Dempsey Hall as an architectural draftsman for 5.5 years, attended the School of Business part-time for 15 years while working full time, and later had a faculty office in Clow West Wing while lecturing to a class on contemporary public issues at Sage Hall. Yes, I went back to UWO after 30 years working in business to study public administration. Lots of memories hit me today.

Today 3/18/2024, I spent 15 minutes in a Zoom meeting with Margy Davey President of Winnebago County League of Women Voters (LWV) answering questions about our county government. It was recorded and will be posted.
Here's how it will work: Each candidate will be interviewed and recorded individually. Everyone will be given the same questions and the same length of time to answer, just as we do for our forums. The recordings will not be aired until all candidates who agree to participate are finished. Then the recordings will all be released at once. They will run on Oshkosh Media Channel 2 (Life TV) and be available on YouTube. The Election is only 15 days away and early in person voting starts tomorrow.
It is not up today, but it will be soon. It will be there for your viewing pleasure. Enjoy.

Wisconsin Academic Decathlon
March 14th, 2024, I was honored to be invited to Judge the statewide Wisconsin Academic Decathlon in Green Bay. It was amazing. I was able to interact and hear firsthand how our future leaders present themselves, their thoughts, and ideas. I learned a lot about a wide variety of subjects from 22 different high school students who came from different parts of our state. It was a completely impartial judging in that we did not know the names or the schools of the presenters. One or two or none may have been from Winnebago County. I can only hope that my evaluations of their speaking and presentation skills were as fair and accurate as the students deserve.

If you live here, I would like a chance to meet you soon. During the next couple of weeks, I will be visiting you at your door. I suppose some people call it campaigning. I prefer to call it getting to know you and letting you get to know me. That is why I hope you are home, that you will open your door, and that we can share a few minutes together. I want to know what county services you care about. I want you to know me. I want you to call, text or email me about anything. I believe that public service is a privilege and a responsibility, and I am eager to serve you and all people in District 32 and the entirety of Winnebago County in 2024 and beyond. I want to do some good.
