Have you spotted our new butterfly signs yet? 👀🦋

We recently added two new metal signs outside City Hall—one with a fun Butterfly Habitat Infographic and another with a Butterfly Scavenger Hunt just for kids! 🔎🌿

They’re a fun way for families to learn a little more about butterflies, pollinators, and the habitats that help them thrive—and the scavenger hunt gives kids a chance to stop, look around, and see what they can discover!

So next time you’re downtown, check out the new signs at City Hall and bring the kids along! 💜

🚗🌮 MAKE A DAY OF IT IN DOWNTOWN ARCOLA! 🌮🚗

Calling all car show enthusiasts AND foodies — Saturday, October 10th is the day to be downtown! 🎉

🚘 Annual Pop the Top Car Show
Registration starts at 9:00 AM, so bring your ride and show it off! Spend the day checking out some amazing cars, visiting downtown businesses, and enjoying the community.

🏆 Trophies & Door Prizes at 3:00 PM!

And you definitely won’t want to come hungry! 😋

🔥 Arcola Fire Department will be serving up pork chop sandwiches.

🌮 Eddy’s Sweet Island will be bringing the flavor with tacos, burritos & more!

Plus, there will be plenty happening throughout downtown to make it a full day of cars, food, shopping, and fun!

🍃🗑️ NATIONAL CLEANUP DAY — LET’S CLEAN UP ARCOLA! 💙

National Cleanup Day is a great reminder that keeping our community beautiful is something we can all be a part of — and we’re looking for volunteers to help!

Whether you can stay for an hour or the entire morning, your help makes a difference. The City will provide gloves and trash bags — just bring yourself, your friends, your coworkers, or your team!

This is a great opportunity for:

💦 Splash Pad Update! 💦

We’ve been getting a few phone calls about the splash pad, so we wanted to share an update!

With this last weeks of summer heat upon us, the Kelly Moore Park Splash Pad will remain open through the Broomcorn Festival! ☀️💦

🕚 Hours: 11:00 AM–7:00 PM

Soak up those last days of summer and enjoy the splash pad while the weather is HOT! We’ll see you at the park! 💜

🚧 STREET WORK NOTICE 🚧

Street crews will be priming streets today, with oiling scheduled for tomorrow.

Please watch for fresh oil and active street work when traveling in these areas. If you drive through fresh oil, it may stick to your tires and could be tracked onto driveways, sidewalks, and other surfaces.

Please slow down, use caution, and avoid freshly treated areas when possible.

After recent storms brought down the Police Department sign, the City of Arcola was happy to work with **Top Notch Exteriors** to rebuild and update the façades at both City Hall and the Police Department entrances.

The finished entrances look fantastic, and we are loving the new **purple signs**! 💜💜
