ART operates neighborhood-friendly vehicles and provides access to Metrorail and the Shirlington Transit Center. ART is environmentally friendly, operating on clean-burning compressed natural gas (CNG). All ART buses are fully ADA accessible with wheelchair lifts or ramps and priority seating for seniors and people with disabilities. Arlington County Government provides accommodations for qualified individuals with disabilities as described in the Americans with Disabilities Act. A curfew has been set in Arlington County starting at 6 p.m. tonight (1/6). The curfew will be in place until 6 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 7.
At the request of Arlington County Virginia – Government
and AlexandriaVA.gov officials and in response to today’s violence at the U.S. Capitol, Governor Ralph Northam has ordered a curfew in Arlington County and the City of Alexandria starting at 6 p.m. The curfew will be in place until 6 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 7.
During the curfew, it is illegal for any person to be in any street, park, or other public place, unless an exception applies. Curfew violation is punishable by up to 12 months in jail, a fine up to $2,500, or both.
Exceptions include traveling to and from home, work, or places of worship; government, emergency services, and hospital personnel; members of the news media & persons seeking emergency services.

However, buses that are operating at 9 p.m. will continue operating to the end of the line before going out of service....
Metrorail service will end at 8 p.m. tonight (1/6) and Metrobus service will end at 9 p.m.
Due to the citywide curfew in DC this evening, all Metrorail and Metrobus service will end earlier than normal, in the interest of public safety. The rail system will close at 8 pm and Metrobus service will end at 9 pm.

Arlington Transit is currently operating the following service:
ART 41, 42, 43, 45, 51, 52, 55, 75, 77, 84 and 87 are operating regular service.
ART 72 is operating a modified weekday schedule.
ART 53, 61, 62 and 74 are not operating.
Face masks or coverings are required to be worn by passengers on all ART buses.

Spencer Finch has been selected as the artist for the Columbia Pike Transit Stations! Finch is best known for ethereal installations that visualize his experience of natural phenomena.
