SOF Support

SOF Support Help ensure SOF and their Families receive the support needed to effectively carry out their operations, keep their families intact, and lead a healthy life.

Special Operations require unique modes of employment, tactics, techniques, and equipment. They are often conducted in hostile, denied, or politically and/or diplomatically sensitive environments. As a result, SOF's needs both on and off the battlefield are often unique. SOF Supports goal is to give those needs visibility, promote a better public understanding of SOF's role, and to forcefully assist and advocate for SOF personnel and their families .

Because of the Arctic Circle's military, economic and geopolitical value, Green Berets must learn how to effectively operate in a polar environment to take on our country's adversaries.

Riding on snowmobile thus becomes necessary as it makes for speedy access to locations and objectives on snowy terrain and through inclement weather.

At 10th Special Forces Group (Airborne), we train in unforgiving, subzero conditions where frostbite on exposed skin occurs in minutes to expand the capabilities of our ODAs.

The timeworn “changing hearts and minds” idiom may soon take on a more literal meaning as we confront the weaponization of neurotechnology. In December 2016, CIA officers and American and Canadian diplomats stationed in Havana, Cuba reported hearing pulsing sounds, sometimes accompanied by pressure sensations in their heads. Neurological symptoms followed.

Never again would we ignore the dangers lurking outside our border.

2,403 Americans died that day.

Honor them today.
