Arlington Parks and Recreation
How would you feel if you saw someone drowning firsthand and there was nothing you could do to save them? Unfortunately many of us are not prepared for a situation like this. However, the Arlington Parks and Recreation Department is helping to prepare the public this summer.
Our 2nd annual Swim Safe campaign is kicking off next Saturday, April 8 at the Bad Konigshofen Water Park. At this event, you will have the opportunity learn about water safety through hands-on exercises, resources provided by water-safety professionals, and a mock drowning (like the one seen in this video).
After April Pool's Day, check back with the City of Arlington Aquatics division for #WaterSafetyWednesdays this summer to learn more through helpful infographics and videos as a part of our #SwimSafe campaign.
