It is with sad hearts that we say good-bye to Ms. Lottie, our long-time Resident Services Manager at Dunfield Apartments in Maryland. Ms. Lottie is retiring after creating inestimable caring and connection throughout the community. Our Resident Services managers are the conduit for so much positivity and Lottie was one of the very best. We hope she knows how much she will be missed by all. Our new affordable apartment community, The Apex, is taking shape along Four Mile Run in Arlington. Can’t wait to start welcoming 256 families next Spring! The community will have a playground, sport court, community center and fitness room. Plus, we’ve designed it to reduce environmental impact. The 4.6-acre site will have one of Northern Virginia’s largest solar roof installations and lots more green space thats expected to reduce run off by 80 percent. Who says tutoring isn’t fun? Last night we kicked off our Teen Tutoring program and welcomed students and tutors with some lively team building activities. We’ll definitely settle into weekly one-on-one learning, but sure was fun to skip the books for a night and get to know each other a little better. 🎶🤣

It’s a bittersweet day - the last field trip of our Summer Camp. It’s been six amazing weeks full of outdoor adventures, fun field trips and lots of learning about science and space. Campers had a blast and are ready to start school energized and engaged. As the last bus pulls away, we just wanted to thank all our wonderful supporters for the best summer ever!
Summer Camp Week 2 Wrap-Up. Last week was mighty hot, but AHC Summer Campers had fun keeping cool in the pool, learning about space and planets, helping out with food bank distribution, and more.

AHC's Social Services team loves to celebrate our residents' successes. They are always giving residents a hand, encouraging them to keep going, and helping them find the tools they need to succeed. Last year they helped 231 families stay in their homes through our Eviction Prevention program!
