On June 3, 2020, the Arlington County Fire Department took delivery of 2 new Pierce Manufacturing pumpers. These state of the art pieces of equipment come to us as bare-bones and will now be fitted with communications equipment and loaded with tools and hoses. Engine companies are the workhorses of the Fire Department and carry tools, water, medical equipment and of course firefighter/EMT's. Thanks to the Arlington, Virginia County Board for its continued support in making sure we have the best and safest equipment on the market. Thanks to all the folks at our equipment bureau for maintaining this complex machinery. Lastly, thanks to our residents of Arlington County for their incredible support, it's an honor serving you.

Please share! This was set up by one of our department member’s wife. Awesome idea to help out local business and Arlington first responders at the same time.
The goal is $2700, but however much her GoFundMe receives, will be divided up by each shift for meal delivery from local businesses. Please help out if you can or share. Thank you! #sharethelink

Important: Please take a moment to watch this #Covid_19 video. These are uneasy times, but know that not every patient we're caring for has the #coronavirus. One of the best ways you can help in this crisis is to be a good neighbor. Be kind to each other, now more than ever.

Hey Arlington! Please join the ACFD in welcoming 20 of its newest Firefighter/EMT’s. These recruits just finished 26 weeks of training and have now been assigned to fire stations all over the County. They now face an additional 9-12 months of probationary (on the job) training under the close watch of their crews.
They have sacrificed a lot already and have now taken an oath to sacrifice their lives in the service of others. While we hope that never happens we commend them for making that commitment to all of us. We appreciate their efforts and wish them the best of luck in their career.
