Roji and Eda Rojiet Ezi (Yezidi Fasting)

The Three Day Fast of December is one all Yezidis are expected to observe. Fasting occurs from dawn until sunset, and the nights are given to feasting, merry making and some prayer. This is also the time for fasting in other ancient traditions, time to connect with the divine, celebrate and pray for world peace.

As for the Eda Rojiet Ezi or Feast of “Ezi or the Almighty” , it falls on Friday after three days of fast according to oriental calendar. in 2015, the holiday fell on December 18th.

Eida Wa Piroze Be – Happy Holidays to all of our Yezidi brothers and sisters.

In the name of God, the most kind, the most merciful.
Marwan Salman Asaad’s family:
We would like to thank the Fargo-Moorhead community for all their efforts in searching for Marwan. To all the families who reached out showing their support. We are forever grateful for the Moorhead Police Department. They worked endlessly in finding our son. Carbon Monoxide poisoning was the reason we lost Marwan. Please educate your family members of the dangers of Carbon Monoxide. We hope that all of you will keep Marwan and the rest of the family in your prayers. We know that you will respect our privacy during this difficult time.

Kurdish Community of America

The majority of Kurdish Americans are recent migrants from Turkey, Iran, Iraq and Syria. Most have roots in northern Iraq or northwestern Iran. Iraqi Kurds comprise the largest proportion of Kurds living in the US.

The first wave of Kurdish immigrants arrived as refugees during the 1970s as a result of the Iraqi–Kurdish conflict. A second wave of Kurdish immigrants arrived in the 1990s fleeing Saddam Hussein's genocidal Anfal Campaign in northern Iraq. The most recent wave of Kurdish immigrants arrived as a result of the 2011 Syrian Civil War and the 2014 Iraqi Civil War, including a number who worked as translators for the U.S. military.

Hope this is allowed on the page...if not I will delete it......thank you. UPDATE UPDATE. THIS IS STILL ONGOING FRIENDS OUR YPG VET WHO IS STUCK IN A VERY DANGEROUS PLACE HAS BEEN INFORMED BY THE EMBASSY HE AND HIS WIFE WILL BE MOVED ON THE 17 OF THIS MONTH DUE TO THING THAT HAVE BEEN HAPPENING OVER THE LAST COUPLE OF WEEKS.....HE NEEDS MONEY TO SURVIVE TILL THAT DATE. .....PLEASE IF YOU CAN MAKE A SMALL DONATION TO MY PAYPAL I CAN FORWARD IT TO HIM .... I WOULD LIKE TO THANK ALL WHO DONATED BEFORE YOU ARE ALL WORTH YOUR WEIGHT IN GOLD.....THANK YOU ...HE WOULD NOT HAVE SURVIVED THIS LONG WITHOUT YOU .... WHEN HE IS OUT OF DANGER I WILL POST WHO HE IS AND EXPLAIN EVERYTHING... 《《Update.》》 This is still ongoing our friend still has another week or more to go before he gets the help he needs ... Friends of ypg i need your help....I know it's coming up to Christmas but if you can spare a few dollars it will take a week or so to get his visa sorted.....at the moment he and his wife are living on bread and cheese.... Copied from a friend and brother........... David Morgan All donations greatly appreciated 《《UPDATE》》 So update on the appeal for funds post I made a while back. Our YPG friend who is in the horribly dangerous situation I spoke of has a potential way out in a couple of weeks. He is off the streets due to the kind efforts of people on my page who donated, and the work of some others. The need for funds is still critical as he could wind up back on the streets, and in danger of attracting the wrong kind of attention if he runs out of money to pay for lodging. I will be sending as much as I am personally able. This is the scariest situation I have seen, and that's saying a lot. For obvious reasons I can't give anymore details than that right now. I'll put my reputation on the line for this being the real deal. PLEASE. If you have ever wondered how you can help support this Cause in a very meaningful way, here is your opportunity. Steve Kerr has a Paypal we can use to collect funds. PM me, and I'll link you to it.
