In observance of Labor Day, Lakeland City Hall and the Lakeland Senior Center will be closed Monday, September 7. Both facilities will reopen during regular business hours Tuesday, September 8.
We wish everyone a safe and enjoyable Labor Day! 🇺🇸

There will be no household trash or bulk waste collection on Monday, September 7, in observance of Labor Day.
Both services will resume on Tuesday. Household trash collection will run Tuesday through Saturday for the remainder of the week. Please plan accordingly! 🗑️

🏀 Basketball registration is now open!
Lakeland Parks & Recreation offers three basketball programs:

Recreational Basketball
* Ages 5–12
* Boys and girls compete in separate divisions, except the 6U division, which is coed.
* Registration: September 1–November 1
* Cost: $150 per child

Competitive Basketball
* Separate boys’ and girls’ divisions for grades 3–6
* Registration: September 1–October 25
* Cost: $225 per child

Start Smart Basketball
* Ages 3–4
* Registration: October 19–December 20
* Cost: $70 per child

🚌 Take a day trip to Brownsville with the Lakeland Senior Center!
Join us Thursday, September 10, for a visit to the West Tennessee Delta Heritage Center and Tina Turner Museum. The trip is $7 per person, and transportation will be provided by Durham Bus Services.
Guests should arrive at the Lakeland Senior Center by 9 a.m. The group will stop for lunch before returning by approximately 1:30 p.m. Participants are responsible for purchasing their own lunch.
