On Friday, Lt. Gen. Christopher LaNeve, Eighth Army commanding general, and Command Sgt. Maj. Robin Bolmer, Eighth Army senior enlisted advisor, placed their command coins into a new concrete pad on U.S. Army Garrison Humphreys (Camp Humphreys). The 643rd Engineer Construction Company, 11th Engineer Battalion, 2nd Infantry Division Sustainment Brigade, is conducting a construction site improvement mission to enhance the 35th Air Defense Artillery Brigades' ability to defend the Korean Peninsula. Leaders from Eighth Army's major subordinate commands have also placed coins into separate concrete pads. LaNeve and Bolmer also took time to meet the construction Soldiers and express their appreciation for their hard work. Pacific Victors!

Our G34 directorate held a chemical, biological, radiological, nuclear and explosives conference with their 대한민국 육군 (Republic of Korea Army) counterparts Nov. 25. Representatives from 2nd Infantry Division's Chemical Battalion and ROK Army's 51st Division discussed CBRNE readiness, mitigation and response plans. Just one of many collaborations between the two. More than 200 Soldiers from the 44th Infantry Brigade Combat Team are home for the holidays from a historic mission. 🇺🇸
They're among the first wave of the 1,500 44th IBCT Soldiers who deployed in support of Operation Inherent Resolve to return home. This was the largest deployment of The New Jersey National Guard Soldiers since 2008.
