Whose ready for a cold front??? As advertised from several places there is a cold front coming early next week. The images being shared shows downright cold air but fails to mention that it's LOW temperatures and not the high temperatures. The cold front coming does in fact bring cool air with lows potentially in the mid 40's to upper 50's with our high temperatures in the mid to upper 60's to the upper 70's and low 80's. With this nice cool down also does bring some rain chances and the potential for strong to severe storms. We will continue to watch the forecast and share the available information with you guys.

08/31/2020

Thunderstorm chances will increase on Monday, but the severe potential will remain greater along and north of the I-20 corridor. Hail and damaging winds may accompany the strongest storms during the late afternoon and early evening.
More widespread thunderstorms are expected Tuesday and Wednesday though the main focus will be across the northwestern half of the region. The severe potential will continue along and south of an invading cold front. In addition, cumulative rainfall from multiple events may pose a flood threat, particularly along and north of the I-20 corridor where the greatest totals are expected. Thunderstorm chances will continue Thursday and Friday, finally diminishing in time for the holiday weekend
