The American Red Cross North Texas Region is actively responding to support families affected by the recent multifamily fire in Fort Worth.

The Red Cross and City of Fort Worth have collaborated to open a shelter at R.D. Evans Community Center for residents impacted by the fire.

Tarrant County, Precinct 2 has let us know they will be hosting a Virtual Town Hall for the Southeast Connector Project at 6 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 20.

Representatives from the Texas Department of Transportation and South-Point Constructors will provide project updates and answer questions from residents.

The 30-home development will expand access to affordable homeownership for Tarrant County families.

Named in honor of Judge L. Clifford Davis, the development commemorates the civil rights leader whose work helped shape Mansfield and expand opportunity for future generations.
