Tell your school board member that it is past time for pass a Collective Bargaining resolution.
LEA’s Board of Directors wrote an open letter to the LCPS school board on December 7th with a series of critical points that needed to be fixed in the proposed collective bargaining resolution. A joint committee was tasked with making decisions on how to address our concerns, and unfortunately that committee was rife with attempts at union busting by LCPS. Now the Legislative, Audit, and Policy committee has been tasked with addressing these concerns. Over the next few weeks, we’re going to be sharing each of these points and discussing why they’re important.
Remove Expiration Dates: We began collecting authorization cards in 2021. Imposing an expiration date on these cards would mean excluding the voices of those that have been working since the beginning to gain collective bargaining. This is union busting, plain and simple.
Have questions about the collective bargaining resolution? Ask us in the comments! Want to support LEA in the fight for a fair resolution? Share this post, and email the school board and let them know what you think. Most importantly, come to our next union meeting on May 21st! RSVP today! https://vea.link/May24
Hope to see you tonight!
