As we look back on the past couple of weeks, we are in awe of all that has been accomplished through the grace of God and the unwavering support of our community. What a time it has been! Every day, we are seeing firsthand the impact of kindness, generosity, and love as we continue to serve those in need. We are deeply grateful for everyone who has helped make this possible.
Last week, thanks to our partnership with NC Works, we were able to help 5 individuals secure temporary employment. It’s a blessing to be a part of their journey and to see hope being restored through meaningful work.
In the past two weeks, we’ve helped 3 families find a place to call home by furnishing their new living spaces. There’s nothing more beautiful than seeing a family settle into their new home, filled with gratitude and hope for what’s ahead. Providing furniture, kitchenware, and the essentials for daily living is just one small way we can help ease their transition and provide them with the comfort and dignity they deserve.
Last Friday, we had the incredible opportunity to head to the bus station in Winston-Salem, where we served 170 people in just 2 hours. The smiles, the words of gratitude, and the shared moments with each person made the evening unforgettable. We were also able to support 5 families with food.
On Thursday afternoons, we host our Shower & Laundry Day, offering a safe and welcoming space for those who may not have access to these essential services. The past couple of weeks, we provided food for 80 individuals, 30 people were able to take a shower, freshen up, and leave feeling a little more dignified. Along with that, we provided meals and warm conversations, making sure everyone felt seen and loved. It’s moments like these that remind us of the power of community and the importance of showing up for one another.
In partnership with the UNCG Minerva Medical Bus, we were able to offer free healthcare services to several individuals who may not otherwise have had access to medical care. The team from the Minerva Bus was so generous with their time and expertise, and we are grateful to them for helping us take care of the health and well-being of those in our community.
Tonight we had the honor of being a part of Community Memorial Night, hosted by Hospice of The Piedmont and Hospice of Randolph. It was an emotional and moving evening as we reflected on the lives we’ve lost and the community we’ve built. We are so grateful for the opportunity to join hands with these organizations in remembering the lives of loved ones and showing love to those who need it most. Thank you to my parents for all the support and always showing up for Grace Given.
Thank You for Your Support, none of this would be possible without the overwhelming generosity of our donors, volunteers, and the community that continues to show up in big ways. We are truly humbled by the support we’ve received and remain committed to continuing our mission of helping those in need.
We are excited to see what the future holds and continue to grow in grace, serving more families and individuals in need. Together, we are making a real difference. Thank you for being part of this journey with us.
