Paul’s Background:
Paul Tickle started his career as an apprentice for the oldest plumbing firm in England. Specializing in sheet metal copper and lead roofing, Paul learned the trade in such buildings as Winsor castle, Crystal Palace, Bentley Manor and Dorking railway station. He fell in love with historic buildings and found himself drawn to their décor. After two years of working between Califo

rnia, Australia and Asia as an art dealer in 1990, Paul moved to Asheville North Carolina as a student attending his father’s Decorative Painting course. In 1992-1995 Paul attended the Portsmouth College of Art and design and Guildford College of Technology, completing the City and Guilds of London Painting and Decorating. Paul's father, Derick Tickle has been in Asheville since 1988 when he began instructing the City and Guilds of North America decorative painting program offered at Asheville Buncombe Technical College. The program was sponsored by the Biltmore House and it lasted for over 23 years. It was a huge success, training hundreds of talented artist and painters who came from all corners of the world. It used many of the public rooms at the Biltmore house for work experience each year. Upon completion of his father's course, Paul branched out into the scenic world of cinematic art direction and theme parks, mural and sign painting. Paul’s Education:
- Asheville Buncombe Technical College: 1991, 1996
- Portsmouth College of Art & Design: 1992
- Guilford College of Technology: 1993-1995

Company Overview:
Paul spent many years as a traveling foreman in the US. He worked for International Fine Art Conservation Studios (IFACS) in Atlanta, GA, Evergreen Painting Studios in NY, and John Canning & Company, restoration firm out of Boston, MA. In 1998 Paul Tickle formed his own company. Many skilled artists and artisans have been instrumental in the success of the company.

Her death came after in May 2026 she announced she was canceling a Las Vegas show and said she’d been undergoing treatment for kidney stones for several years.

What is Daredevil Pass? With the opening of Miner's Mountain Express at Silver Dollar City, two distinct areas of the park known to thrill-seekers will now be connected in one loop. This exciting new section of The City will be a concentrated coaster hub and the go-between for riders looking for the fastest way from PowderKeg to Miner's Mountain Express, WildFire, and American Plunge.

The towering focal point of Daredevil Pass is an authentic 15-story headframe from a working Missouri mine which soars over the ride entrance inviting families to come join the adventure. The headframe now stands as the tallest point in The City.
