I’m not running for office either this time around, but I am sure thankful that our righteousness is not in ourselves, but is in and through Christ Jesus our Lord and Savior. ✝️❤️🙏🏻
I’m not running for public office but if I were, my opening remarks would be to tell the whole world what a dirty, rotten scoundrel I am. In fact, I am dirtier, rottener and more scoundlier than anyone else running for office. I am chief of scoundrels!
My mouth is always open and my throat is an open grave. My tongue is full of lies. The poison of snakes pours out of my lips. (Romans 3:13)
My heart is deceitful above all things and desperately wicked. (Jeremiah 17:9) even I don’t know how bad I am!
Jesus was talking about me when he condemned hatred, lust, greed and dishonesty in Matthew 5.
Jesus was talking about me when he condemned the Pharisees of hypocrisy and of their talk exceeding their walk.
“There is none righteous no not one.” I am one of those.
“All have sinned and come short of the glory of God!” That’s me.
“Dead in trespasses and sin.” (Ephesians 2:1)
“Concerned about what people think more than what God knows” (Ephesians 2:2)
This the start of how big a scoundrel I am.
If I were running for office you could probably find much more. I put this out there to give you a place to start. You wouldn’t need to make it up. Artificial Intelligence is unnecessary.
“But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love by which He loved me, has given me life, by grace I have been saved!” Right now and for eternity that is all that matters.
I’m so tired of this election.
Take heart! Jesus cares for all you scoundrels.
