Another lobby day in the bag! On Monday, OSPIRG students from all over Oregon met with elected officials and their staff to talk about issues ranging from climate change to indigenous water rights. Peep the two SOU reps on the right!!

Today marks the start of OSPIRG’s Hunger and Homelessness canned food drive! Donation boxes for ACCESS Food Bank will be located on the main floor of the SU by the elevators! We are specifically looking for canned protein items like meat, peanut butter and beans, as well as canned fruits 🍎 and veggies 🌽! Spread the word and bring your donations in by Wednesday of next week!

Oregon has historically struggled with houselessness already, and as I'm sure we all know, the Rogue Valley was recently hit by a series of highly destructive wildfires that destroyed over 2,000 residential structures in largely low-income neighborhoods.

On December 4th from 1-3:30 pm, OSPIRG is hosting our end of term panel! Intermittent with performances from local artists, the speakers will touch on their experiences with fighting food and housing insecurity in Southern Oregon, especially in wake of the recent fires.
