Inspire UGA is a nonprofit 501 c(3) student organization at the University of Georgia that aims to inspire Athens-Clarke County 8th graders to strive for education beyond high school. As the world is adjusting to this new normal, we hope to bring some Classic Styles of learning and connecting to a more profound and unique level because our students are the world's future. Although Athens-Clarke Co
unty is home to one of the oldest higher education institutions in the nation, many students in Athens are not afforded the privilege of pursuing a college degree. Here at Inspire we strongly believe that students should know that they do not have to become another statistic and that they too can pursue a college degree or be successful in life. Day As A Dawg events allows students to spend the day at UGA with their very own UGA student mentor, who is there to answer questions, provide advice, and most importantly inspire the student. Along with a complimentary breakfast, lunch, and t-shirt, students will participate in a special campus tour, hear inspirational messages from guest speakers, take part in workshops, and attend a collegiate sporting event in SANFORD Stadium. These young students are our future so we want to give them the opportunity to see a glimpse of what their future could look like.
