You deserve to be heard! Voice your opinion!!

The Douglas County Superintendent is in the running for Superintendent of the year.

While receiveing a 71% increase in salary = $300,000.

Teachers, did you get your 3% raise? What about a 10% raise?

While crimes against students in school are being ignored, the school police department is employed to do next to nothing and the teachers that are on the front line are not being recognized with accolades or financial incentives no where near a 71% increase.

If you don't speak up and speak out now, then you are in agreement.

This election will not take place without me voicing my opinion. I hope you voice yours

If you haven't watched the News report for Alexander High School you can download the Atlanta News First App and it's there.

Mr. Small, principal at Alexander and Mr. North, Superintendent at Douglas County School System were already aware of the recruiting allegations because it was a part of my investigation that I started with Georgia Professional Standards for the last football season.

The same list of comments from the district at the end, is verbatim what the Superintendent told me about my child's physical assault at Alexander High School, which ends up being, we are not going to do anything.

City of Douglasville, you deserve better! At one point in time we were better. Are you ok with paying for and tolerating these behaviors where your children are? If you stand for nothing you will fall for anything. Parents and families speak out about your injustices. You deserve to be heard and you need someone in place that will create a safe environment for your children. Small and North are not the ones that will do that.

Imagine seeing a football player on the field who doesn’t live in your district. That’s what parents say is happening at Alexander High School.

Thank God for the light and exposure! Alexander High School and the coach that was responsible for my son being physically assaulted. Now what will the superintendent do? He didn't do anything about the assault!

The Douglas County School System must appropriately deal with crimes that are committed on school property. Pretending that it is not and does not happen IS NOT THE ANSWER!

Are you a watcher or a doer?

School is in full swing, and the honeymoon phase is now over. Reality is setting in.

This is the time to be watchful.

This is the time to see what is the same and what is different.

This is the time to be vigilant and be ready for the inevitable.

I am still here.

I am still present.

I'm not going anywhere!

When the storm comes I'm here to ride it out til the end.

There needs to be a different approach to what happenes when crimes are committed in the Douglas County School System.

Superintendent North as well as chief of police Whaley should actually do something to deter these crimes from happening instead of turning away and pretending this problem does not exist.

I too pray for a successful school year for all children.

I also pray for a change for those children that will be victimized while in the care of the Douglas County School System.

Now is the time for change. No more sweeping these heinous acts under the rug and hiding your hands behind your back as though you are not a part of the cover up.

I can't change what happened to my son and my family at Alexander High School. We will forever be victims of crimes committed at the Douglas County School System, that are ignored. Nor can I change what may have happened to your child or family. I had conversations with other parents, there are other families and victims with similar stories.

But together we can make a difference in what happens in the future, to other children and their families.

Douglas County School System needs to address crimes committed in the schools, and deal with them instead of trying to cover them up and pretend that they don't happen.

I will not stop, because I know it will happen again. I pray that it doesn't happen to your child, your family.

There are 2 things that are true.

1. There is no way to stop crimes from occurring.

2. What is done when crimes occur will either
a. encourage crimes to continue or
b. deter crimes from happening.

For 2 years, since the Douglas County School System employed their own police department, they have chosen to ignore and do nothing about crimes committed on school property, while students are in their care.

This is gross negligence and unacceptable.

It will happen again, but when it does, there needs to be accountability!

Help demand change and progress.

While the Douglas County School System chooses to ignore crimes as well as bullying that happen at the schools in their district, they are creating children and families that suffer with psychological damages.

They care more about maintaining an image that is false, when they should help grieving children and families that suffer from crimes and bullying that happen at Douglas County Schools. This type of negligence is it irreprehensible!
