Prevention and Education of Ga NAESM, Inc. is a 501(c) (3) non-profit community-based organization located in Atlanta, GA.

To provide national and local leadership to address the myriad of health and wellness issues confronted by black gay and bis*xual men, through advocacy, services, and education NAESM was founded in 1990 in order to address the lack of services being provided to Black gay men in the late 1980’s and early 1990’s. NAESM is one of the first African American community-based non-profit organizations to

stand on the frontlines in the fight against HIV/AIDS in Atlanta, Georgia. The organization’s founders originally distributed condoms and safer s*x messages at Atlanta bars and nightclubs frequented by African American Men who have S*x with Men (MSM) and other areas where African American MSM was known to congregate: a practice that continues today.

For more than 30 years, NAESM has prioritized its mission to increase minority populations’ access to free HIV testing, s*xually transmitted infections treatment, linkage to care, housing, behavioral and s*xual health counseling, transportation, utility, food and clothing assistance, and community outreach, and youth empowerment in the Atlanta Metropolitan area and throughout the state of Georgia.
