According to the VA, early 5.1 million veterans receive disability compensation, with an annual benefit of $18,549

There are 218,000 Veterans in the 10 counties of the greater Atlanta Metro Area.

During this pandemic times everyone has been effected, however wounded warriors have been greatly effected with the stresses of COVID19 and isolation. Can you image a job that takes you away from your family and friends for weeks and months at a time? Can you image having limited communication and contact with your family because of the national security sensitivity of your job, missing the birth of a child, being available for a dying relative or celebrating a life event? Can you image being sent to war torn nations where you're fighting for their democracy on their soil, so that fight doesn't come to your hometown or your family? Can you image coming home from your job with physical, mental and emotional injuries?

Now can you image making it home to your family only to have the only place you call home destroyed by a natural disaster, being diagnosed with a debilitating disease like Lupus, raising 5 kids as a single parent and have one with autism?

We can't image it, but Ty and her family are living it. Can you help? Can you look at your family and thank God for their health, your health and your home, then consider how you can help the least of God's children who have sacrificed to do their job for this nation?
