🌟 Magnet Student Spotlight: Chris Chao 🌟

We are proud to celebrate an extraordinary accomplishment by one of our Senior Magnet students, Chris Chao, who officially earned the prestigious rank of Eagle Scout on June 18, 2026, as a member of Scouting America Troop 24 in Cartersville.

Eagle Scout is the highest rank attainable in Scouting America and is achieved by only a small percentage of Scouts nationwide. Earning this honor requires years of dedication, leadership, service, and personal growth through rigorous training, community involvement, and the completion of a significant service project.

Chris's journey to Eagle Scout reflects his commitment to serving others and leading by example. As part of his scouting experience, he has served as a Patrol Leader, become a member of the Order of the Arrow, and completed impactful community projects, including the Jackson House Landscaping Project and the Veterans Memorial Park Exercise Stations Project, both benefiting the Adairsville community.

Chris's achievements extend beyond Scouting - he has earned the Highest Achievement Award in AP Statistics, placed 2nd in the Georgia SkillsUSA Commercial Drone Team Competition, and has accumulated an impressive 660 service hours through the National Beta Club. He is also actively involved in athletics and community service initiatives.

When reflecting on his goals, Chris shared:

"I believe my purpose in life is to continue growing as a leader while making meaningful contributions to my community and the people around me."

Chris exemplifies the values of leadership, perseverance, service, and excellence that we strive to cultivate in our Magnet Program. We congratulate him on this remarkable achievement and look forward to seeing all he accomplishes in the future!

Today, we join communities across the country in celebrating City Hall Selfie Day, an annual event organized by ELGL (Engaging Local Government Leaders). This special day highlights the important role local government plays in our daily lives and recognizes the dedicated public servants who work hard to serve our community.

We are proud of our Mayor, City Council, staff, and community who help make the City of Adairsville a wonderful place to live, work, and play.

We appreciate the opportunity for our community members and local officers to come together over a cup of coffee, share conversations, and strengthen relationships. Events like these help build connections and keep our community strong.

Congratulations to our Bunco Winners from yesterday's game at the Earl Towe Community Center!

Thank you to everyone who came out and enjoyed a morning filled with laughter, friendly competition, and great company. Bunco is a fun, fast-paced dice game that is easy to learn, making it perfect for both new and experienced players.

Have you been thinking about giving Bunco a try? We would love for you to join us on August 26th at 10:00 a.m. for our next game! It is a great way to meet new friends, stay active, and have a lot of fun.
