Family Education and Development Services, LLC

Family Education and Development Services, LLC (FEDS) is a training, development, and consultancy agency that works in partnership with all systems of care, school districts, businesses, policymakers, and faith community members to build a culture of nurturing. The organizational vision is to become a worldwide model for developing effective and cult

urally intelligent organizations and systems of care. Mission Statement
To provide world-class education support services, training, and technical assistance in every sector of the community. Philosophy
Culturally intelligent education, training, and professional development are the key to growth in families, organizations, and communities. What we believe……
We believe that education, training, and professional development are critical to family, community, and organizational development. Professional Development
Rationale- The most critical component of success for children and families is the training, education, and development to provide evidence-based, family-centered trauma-informed programs and build staff capability to function and relate effectively in culturally different situations both domestic and international. Family-Centered
Rationale- Family-Centered care is a best practice approach to emotional, social, and academic support. Children that are living in chaotic, stressful environments, i.e., neighborhoods, physical and mental health issues of parents, and a lack of access to adequate resources are challenged to focus on growth and development

Parent Engagement
Rationale- Empowering parents as leaders, advisors, and advocates can be an asset to the community and school environment. Parents are a child’s first and best teacher. They too need professional development. They too are a critical part of the growth and development of the child. They are an excellent source of resources for fund development, professional or paraprofessional services, supportive services, and strategic planning for the growth and development of nurturing communities.

In 2025, we delivered on the promise to connect more Georgians to crisis services.

✅ In the fall, we announced Georgia's latest Behavioral Health Crisis Center that will be located in Clayton County.
✅ Our 988 Lifeline remains an invaluable resource for citizens in both rural and urbans parts of the state, and public awareness efforts for 988 have reached more than 89 million connections.
✅We also piloted a hybrid jail in-reach and co-responder program, expanding behavioral health–law enforcement partnerships in smaller counties.

We are excited to carry this momentum into 2026!

When babies experience trauma, it doesn’t just affect their emotions, it changes how their brains grow.

Experts say 1 in 10 children under age 5 face mental health challenges. Studies show that untreated mental health conditions in infants and toddlers leave children more vulnerable to poor health, poor performance at school, criminal justice involvement, and even su***de over time.

But there is hope. Even in the most challenging situations, consistent access to age-appropriate and specialized therapies can help children and their families thrive.
Because infants’ and toddlers’ brains grow so quickly, with intervention and consistent support from loving adults, they can often heal and thrive after traumatic incidents.
