PSA 🗣 I'm co directing a stage play with Director Theresa Mayo here in Columbus called "The Woman: Not Built To Break"

Play date is on: August 24th 2019

We are doing open auditions from 1230-230 pm THIS Saturday (April 6, 2019) at the MILDRED L. TERRY LIBRARY.

These are real stories, by real woman showing their struggles through pain, grief, and other altering situations that may have broken others, but not the woman!

Be prepared to do a monologue of a situation that was meant to break you!

Characters Sketch

Leroy: (early 20’s) A ruthless hustler that has no feeling one way or the other; he has but one love and that is the MONEY.
Leisha: (teenage girl) Young girl who never gets a chance to be anything but a product of her environment.
Diallo: ( teenage boy) A young boy that does what he thinks is necessary to survive, he has no one but himself, and Leroy.
Ulene: (middle aged) Leisha's mother, who has neglected her most of her life for men. She has no soul, and no desire to be a mother.
Storyteller: Tells story of the neighborhood, and the lives of the people that live there.
Ki-ki: (teenage girl) Leisha’s best friend, who gets caught up in the streets and materialistic things. She will get a high that will take her all the way down.
Preacher: Pastor of neighborhood church.
Corey: (8-12years old) A friend of Diallo that wants to get out of foster care and into the streets He doesn't see a chance coming unless he takes it. But will he?

Que: (early 20’s) One of Leroy’s sidekicks.
Dominique: (teenage girl) Friend of Ki-ki
Tunk: (early 20’s)One of Leroy’s sidekicks

Master Pieces Presents supports Carver High School FBLA COMMUNITY SERVICE PROJECT in Columbus, Ga as they present "I Decided" a short skit that gives a powerful look @ the decisions our young people are making and the consequences that often follow. Hats off to the chairperson Ms. Ayannie Thomas for her diligence and committment to this project!
