It is the expressed purpose of this organization to work with established federal, state, and local agencies as well as the private sector. P.E.P does not teach religion, however, its philosophy is to help promote a healthier and better way of life for youth of any addictions and afflictions, which do come from the Holy Scriptures. P.E.P is founded on the principles of God’s Word; that if we will
“teach a child to choose the right path, and when he is older he will remain upon it” (Proverb 22:6). We believe we are all called to a spirit of excellence. Many people, including some Christians, spend lots of time talking about the problems of our youth. You have heard of expression “each one, reach one”! How many people are actually doing something to bring about real change and are actually putting actions behind their words? P.E.P believes and is committed to making a difference. It is our responsibility to love, mentor and demonstrate strong leadership to our youth. We maintain that prayer coupled with faith, defined by works, can and will change any hopeless and lost circumstance. We believe the youth are our future and they must be prepared for a healthy and prosperous life. P.E.P goal is to provide support and educational services to juveniles up to twenty-one (21) years of age, and sometimes we don’t stop there. P.E.P also provides support services to our youth family members, where applicable. This program consists of the most efficient ways of providing family intervention, educational and peer interaction support. P.E.P philosophy seeks to provide a climate that will facilitate constructive experiences of growth for our youth. It is our intent to assist the youth in finding positive roles that are meaningful, self-fulfilling, and legitimately acceptable within their families and communities. This advocacy program attempts to provide services that include the family as well as community in the problem solving process whenever practical. We alert the youth on their options and teach them strategies for pursuing those options and then we show them how to implement those options and skills in their lives.
