Ted Golden is a caring, competent leader committed to a safer DeKalb. He is a former Memphis Police Officer, who served 28 years with the U.S. Golden retired on January 25, 2014. Golden is a 30 - year resident of DeKalb County and he holds Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees in Criminal Justice from the University of Memphis. He is married to Dr. Cynthia L. Golden, a DeKalb County Educator. Golden is

the father of 4 sons, three of whom hold Master Degrees and like their father, chose careers in law enforcement, the 4th son is in 10th grade. He is dedicated to engage in positive change in his community.
