We thoroughly enjoyed welcoming, Ms. Terri Smith Roca to serve as the Principal for a Day at Silver City today! Ms. Smith Roca is a member of the Forsyth County Chamber of Commerce and a realtor with Coldwell Banker. She is a longtime Forsyth County resident and enjoyed seeing our Comets show the Comet Way of being respectful, responsible, and having integrity. She experienced a kindergarten morning meeting, practiced multiplication strategies with advanced 3rd grade math students, learned the importance of social skills and practiced phonics skills with some of our 1st graders, discussed characteristics of some of our Founding Fathers with 4th graders, and experienced a hands on math lesson in our Reach classroom. Ms. Smith Roca is an excellent role model for our Comets of what it means to contribute and serve in the community in which you work and live. We were grateful to have her visit Silver City as our Principal for a Day.

We love our custodians! They work tirelessly to keep our school beautiful and running. We celebrated National Custodian Day with them by treating them to a lunch to show our appreciation!
