Sometimes the biggest heroes are the ones quietly building a family, one child at a time. 🧡
In Buffalo, New York, single dad Lamont Thomas has been doing exactly that since 2000. He's fostered more than 30 children while raising his own two kids, Anthony and LaMonica, and had already adopted several of the kids he cared for, including his former foster son Michael. He thought his story was complete.
Then he heard about five siblings torn apart by neglect: Zendaya, 5; Jamel, 4; Nakia, 3; Major, 2; and baby Michaela, 1. Split into four different homes across four different cities, they'd been apart for over a year and a half.
Lamont knew their family... he'd once fostered their father. So he got re-certified as a foster parent, with one goal in mind: bring those siblings back together, no matter what it took.
Nearly two years later, on October 17, 2019, he stood before a judge and adopted all five children at once.
His family grew to twelve kids. And those five siblings got something even bigger than a home.
They got each other. Forever. 🤍
