Happy Labor Day!

Today, we celebrate the workers whose hands, minds, and determination have built our communities and our country.

Labor Day has its roots in the long struggle of working people who organized and stood together for better wages, safer workplaces, reasonable hours, and the dignity of being able to provide for their families. Those rights weren’t handed down—they were won because ordinary people came together and demanded better.

And that work isn’t finished.

The choices we make at the ballot box shape whether working families can afford to live, whether people can earn a fair wage, whether communities have good jobs and strong schools, and whether everyone has a real opportunity to get ahead.

This Labor Day, let’s remember that progress has always depended on people coming together and using their voices.

🗳️ Election Day is November 3.

This fall, let’s show up, stand together, and vote for a future where working people—not just those at the top—have a fair shot.

Walking into Monday night's meeting, you could feel it.

A room full of Democrats —not discouraged, not defeated—but energized.

We heard from incredible candidates and campaign leaders who reminded us that change doesn't happen by itself. It happens when ordinary people decide to get involved.

One message has stayed with me all week.

State Senate candidate Darcy Castro talked about becoming psychologically gerrymandered — believing we don't have power because we've been told for so long that Democrats can't compete here.

But Monday night proved something different.

We're here.

We're organizing.

We're growing.

Every person who shows up reminds another Democrat they are not alone.

This movement belongs to all of us.

Let's keep building.

Today, we remember Congressman John Lewis on the anniversary of his passing—a giant of the Civil Rights Movement whose courage, sacrifice, and unwavering faith in democracy changed our nation forever.

John Lewis marched across the Edmund Pettus Bridge. He endured beatings, arrests, and hatred. He put his life on the line so that every American could exercise the fundamental right to vote.

As John Lewis reminded us:

"Your vote is precious, almost sacred. It is the most powerful nonviolent tool we have to create a more perfect union."

Those words are just as true today as they were when he first spoke them.

John Lewis didn't march across that bridge, endure beatings, and go to jail so future generations would take the right to vote for granted. He believed our votes could change the world—and now it's our turn to prove him right.

This November, honor John Lewis not just with your words—but with your actions.

🗳️ Make a plan to vote.
🗳️ Bring a friend or family member with you.
🗳️ Vote for Democrats up and down the ballot.
🗳️ Keep moving our country closer to the "more perfect union" that John Lewis never stopped believing was possible.
