🚨 Don’t tune out — the runoff election is June 16!

Four key statewide Democratic races are headed to a runoff, and the voters who show up will decide who moves on to November.

🗳 What to know:
📅 Election Day: June 16
📬 Absentee ballot request deadline: June 5
✅ If you voted Democratic in the Primary, you can vote in the Democratic runoff
✅ If you did NOT vote in the Primary, you can vote in the runoff
❌ If you voted Republican in the Primary, you cannot vote in the Democratic runoff

Early voting details are coming soon.

Runoffs often have lower turnout — that means every vote carries even more power.

Georgia’s future is still on the ballot. Let’s show up again.

Memorial Day began with remembrance — and with purpose.

In 1865, freed formerly enslaved people in Charleston, South Carolina gathered to honor fallen Union soldiers — one of the earliest Memorial Day observances in our nation’s history. In 1868, Decoration Day was officially proclaimed to honor those lost in war, a tradition that became Memorial Day.

Today, we remember those heroes and the sacrifices they made.

But remembrance alone is not enough.

The men and women we honor today fought to defend this nation and its ideals. As civilians, our duty is different, but no less important: to defend democracy with our vote, with our voice, and by refusing to stay silent in the face of injustice.

The struggles for justice, equality, and democracy did not end on distant battlefields. They continue here at home — and honoring the fallen means refusing to take those freedoms for granted.

Today, we remember. And in their honor, we recommit ourselves to the work of building and protecting this country for generations to come.

🎉 What a week for Georgia Democrats — and now we turn our focus to what comes next!

Congratulations to Jon Ossoff, Keisha Lance Bottoms, Tanya Miller, Katherine Juhan-Arnold, Peter Hubbard, Sheila Edwards, Lydia Powell, Chris Harden — and our local Democratic candidates Darcy Castro, Bella Bautista, Lauren Jones, Willie Coombs, and Andrea Jude!

These Democratic nominees will carry our values forward into November, and now it’s time to rally behind them and get to work. 💙

But we’re not done yet…

🚨 The Democratic runoff is June 16 for:
✔ Lt. Governor
✔ Secretary of State
✔ Insurance Commissioner
✔ Labor Commissioner

Runoffs are often decided by far fewer voters — which means YOUR vote matters even more.

As we head into a new week, let’s keep showing up, keep organizing, and keep moving Georgia forward.

Governor Kemp’s decision to call a special session to redraw congressional maps immediately after the gutting of key Voting Rights Act protections tells us exactly what’s at stake in Georgia.

When politicians are afraid of voters, they try to change the rules instead of earning our votes. Georgians deserve fair representation — not racially gerrymandered maps designed to silence communities and protect political power.

That’s why voting in every election matters. Early voting is almost over, and this is our chance to show that attempts to weaken our voices will only motivate us to turn out in even greater numbers.

🗳️Using our power at the polls just became even more critical.

This week, the U.S. Supreme Court’s conservative majority weakened a key provision of the Voting Rights Act—the very law that has protected fair representation for decades. This decision opens the door for partisan and racial gerrymandering, including right here in Georgia.

And it’s not hypothetical. Leading Republican candidates for Governor are already calling for more gerrymandering.

That means the stakes of this election just went up.

We must:
🗳️ Elect more Democrats to the state legislature
🗳️ Elect a Democratic governor who will stand as a firewall
🗳️ Elect pro-voting rights, pro-democracy judges

Because now more than ever, our state courts are the last line of defense.

⚖️ That’s why it is so critical to elect:
Jen Jordan
Miracle Rankin
Will Wooten

These races will be DECIDED on May 19—not later. Turnout will determine the outcome.

The federal government is no longer protecting our freedoms—it’s weakening them. The responsibility now falls to us.

If we don’t show up, decisions will be made without us.

Make your plan. Vote early. Vote the full ballot.
