Star Bright Charities fund work training programs for foster children and orphans about to age out of foster care and other public / private group homes. We enroll them in trade programs that could offer them a better start. Please use the Toi 2 Star Bright Foundation's donation tab (above) and help us provide those much needed vocational training for the children. Help us to give them a basic but solid start on what could be a very long and lonely road. Currently we are assisting foster care group homes as they prepare to transition older children into independent living. Our foundation covers tuition and related expenses connected with their training for the duration of their program. Right now we have children getting ready to begin short courses for careers as Phlebotomists, Nursing Assistants, and mechanics. Our future goal is to have our own campus where we can provide the following services:
Transitional Apartment-Style Housing
Independent Living Skills Training
Vocational Training
Life Skills Training
Educational and Vocational Guidance
Counseling

One thing you should know about being a foster parent is that after kids leave, even years later, we still think about them often. Wondering what they are doing & what their life is like now or how much they have changed from the pictures on your wall or do they even remember an ounce of their time with us.

Even when it’s the happiest ending of reunification with their family, the grief & loss can still weigh heavy on us from the other end.

Hello friends... I recently received a few questions about StarBrightCharities.org fundraising efforts for foster children and thought I'd put together a post.

The Foundation raises funds primarily to sponsor older children in foster care (15-18 yrs old) through a vocational or associates degree program, to help give them a fighting chance of a brighter, self sufficient future. One's 18th birthday shouldn't be spent choosing between living on a park bench or in a shelter w/ limited hope for a well paying job and a better future.

The foundation also exists to support pre-adoptive parents hoping to complete the adoption of a sibling group, or an older, or special needs child through the Foster Care system, and we usually focus on families who have limited resources.

I hope that we can count on our friends and family to support us in some small way, especially around the holidays. As little as $5 would go a very long way. Thank you!
