Last week, we had the opportunity to deliver “Tubs of Love” to Meriwether County 911.

Losing an officer in the line of duty is one of the toughest things an Emergency Communications Center can face. While we can’t take away the pain or make the circumstances easier, we can show up, remind our neighboring communications officers that they are not alone, and help carry the load in whatever small way we can.

We’re grateful for the opportunity to support Meriwether County 911 during a difficult time. We know that the grief continues long after the headlines end. This was our small token to remind them that we are still here for them.

We’re equally grateful for the chance to meet our neighboring communications officers face-to-face, learn more about their center, and hear about the work they do every day.

A heartfelt thank you to the Daughters of the American Revolution and the Colonial Dames of the XVII Century for the beautiful sacks delivered today in remembrance of September 11th. 🇺🇸

This is a thoughtful way to honor the lives lost, the first responders who answered the call, and the countless individuals whose lives were forever changed on that day.

Our thoughts and prayers are with our colleagues in Meriwether County & Warm Springs, as well as with the many men and women in the Fayette County public safety community who worked with and loved Officer Fisher.

The previous post regarding the murder of a Warm Springs Police Department officer, which included a photograph of the individual responsible, has been taken down. That individual is no longer at large and no longer poses a threat to our community.

The individual responsible for taking Officer Fisher’s life later took his own life when confronted by law enforcement in South Carolina. He will receive no further recognition here.

There is no longer any reason to give his face space on this page. That is not the face worth remembering.

Instead, we choose to remember Officer Fisher, his service, his sacrifice, and his unwavering commitment to protecting others.

Our focus remains where it belongs.

Honor Officer Fisher. Remember his sacrifice. Keep his wife and children, his family and friends, and his brothers and sisters in law enforcement in your thoughts and prayers.

His is the face that matters now.

🚨 911 CHALLENGE: Can You Find Me? 🚨

Imagine you need to call 911. You’re scared, you’re in a hurry, and you’re trying to explain what’s happening.

Before we need to know WHAT happened, WHO is involved, or HOW serious it is… we need to know WHERE you are.

📍 Location comes FIRST.

Here’s today’s challenge:

What (or where??) is “showbiz.gadgetry.smiled” — and how could those three words help Fayette County 911 locate you in an emergency?

We’ll give you a hint: You won’t find it on Google Maps, and it’s not a street address.

These three words are part of a technology that can identify a precise location using a unique three-word combination. That can be incredibly helpful when you’re somewhere without a traditional address, like a park, trail, large event, parking lot, or just an unfamiliar location.

Thank you to Abigail, Crissy, and Isabel for setting up the 9-1-1 tent at last week's National Night Out event hosted by City of Fayetteville Public Safety.

You all did an awesome job! The photo ops were a huge hit, and the kids absolutely loved the gift bags. It was a great way to connect with our community, have some fun, and remind families about the important work our 9-1-1 professionals do every day.

Thank you for representing 9-1-1 and making the night special for so many families! 👏💙
