There's some comments that deserve real answers. Questions like, Why....

Reduced sentences aren't victories. What are you telling the criminals? Modified catch and release. Shameful.

There was a time criminals recieved full sentences. And in a timely manor.

The Gwinnett County District Attorney's Office remains committed to protecting our community's most vulnerable.

Steven Edward Wilkins was found guilty of six counts of child molestation and four counts of public indecency involving special needs students aboard a school bus. He was sentenced to 20 years, with five years to serve in prison, must register as a child s*x offender for life, and is permanently prohibited from having contact with minors.

Justice. Accountability. Protection.

A senior administration staff member at the Gwinnett County Sheriff' Office quit unexpectedly this week.
A heated exchange between senior admin and you know who, led to the immediate exit. But you won't hear about it from the Sheriff's Office. They'd rather it be kept silent by threatening anyone working there to not discuss it, mention it, or whisper it for fear of termination. Doesn't sound like a safe working, open door policy, transperancy way of conducting business.

As YOUR, Sheriff I plan to make it a better environment for employees, civilian staff, volunteers, and appointees. A true Open Door Policy and discussions that produce positve results. Real programs that aactually help inmates. "Jail Dogs" That is leadership. You the citizens dont have that at the Sheriff's Office now.

I will tell the truth even it it hurts me. You will recieve open discussion platforms and real answers. Not FB posts with the comments TURNED OFF. We still haven't heard the explanation and investigation about the shooting in the parking lot at the jail. All the Sheriff cares about is the stars on his uniform, and the COLOR of his staff. DEI hiring practices. Qualifications aren't even considered. I said what I said.

There are plenty of qualified personnel that are good leaders, but won't get a chance because of the color of their skin. Go back and look at the ads they've put out for the last 4 years in recruitment. The number of deputies on the job are dangerously low and is a serious safety issue in the jail. Behind on civil processes and family violence orders, and record numbers of unserved criminal warrants. Absolutely no cooperation with ICE. Not to mention grossly over budget.

You deserve better Gwinnett County. Gwinnett County Republican Party

Let's get back to common sense and enforcement of the law.

You can tell it's campaign season. All the posts about arrest and operations sprawling up.
Still not cooperating with the Feds. Still releasing criminals back into the community with holds on them and unrealistic pick up times for transfer of custody.
But says theyre 100% cooperating with "other" agencies. Dictates to the Feds how "they" want to do things instead of following the law. Smoke and mirrors folks. Thats all it is since day one.
Ask me how I know.

I've gotten messages on this page. All the hateful comments seem to be coming from people the same color as me. I've been called all the names by black hateful people because I think for myself. I dont blame white people for what's going on in the black community and the destructve culture which has plagued black people for years.
I'lll continue to speak out about it. I've worked my entire life based on merrit and my own responsibilities.
I no longer care about what black people who chose hateful comments and threats. YOU are the problem.
To all the supporters I've continued to have, I am very grateful and cannot tell you enough, Thank you.

The "optics" of having a Mental Health Taskforce brought on by Keith Keybo Taylor and then having a starvation death in the jail sounds and looks like fraud. "Smoke and mirrors."
Now we have another death and another family with no answers. How many more deaths related to the Gwinnett Sheriff's Office Detention Center need happen before people understand that county taxes pay the lawsuits that follow these deaths. Basically we will pay for it.
Not Keith Keybo Taylor or anyone in his administration. High salaries for incompetence and zero accountability. A serious look at the expenses of the Mental Health Taskforce and resources need to be researched.
The count of inmate deaths in Gwinnett County is one of the highest in the state! It did not have to happen. And it shouldn't have happened. Discuss...
