Why We Do It

We became acquainted with refugee children and their f

amilies who were persecuted by their government when they lived overseas where they endured persecution and desperate living conditions forcing many to flee for safety to refugee camps in Thailand. Although these refugees are now living in the Clarkston and Stone Mountain areas just outside Atlanta, Georgia, many are still in need of basic necessities and monetary help. began by securing tuition assistance thru educational scholarships for refugee children's education, we soon realized there were other great needs in the refugee communities as well. We now provide clothing, food, and household goods to hundreds of refugees from many countries each month. We accept donations of food, gently used clothing, furniture, appliances, and household goods in order to fill these needs. We often deliver these items to refugee families and we also maintain an outreach center in Clarkston, GA where refugees may come to pick up these items. Thanks to members of Atlanta North SDA Church, The Samaritan Center, and the F.R.E.E. organization we are once again able to provide school backpacks with school supplies to refugee childen that will be attending Duluth Adventist Christian school this 2026-2027 school year.
