EMS Week 2026 Challenge Winners Announced! 🏆

Leading up to EMS Week, from March 1 through May 23, teams across the Priority Ambulance family of companies participated in our Social Media Engagement Challenge, sharing the stories, people, and moments that make EMS so special.

From crew spotlights and award presentations to community outreach events, wellness activities, interagency partnerships, and team celebrations, the challenge highlighted the dedication and impact of our teams across the organization.

Thanks to the incredible participation of our operations, we received a remarkable 324 submissions showcasing the compassion, teamwork, professionalism, and service that define EMS.

Central EMS, a member of the Priority Ambulance family of companies, enjoyed a Dirty Soda Bar and popcorn on Wednesday, followed by cookouts on Thursday and Friday.

🚑🔥 Central EMS, a member of the Priority Ambulance family of companies, wrapped up EMS Week with a fantastic BBQ celebration for our crews, partners, and community!

To close out the week, we hosted an onsite blood drive with Shepeard Community Blood Center and a pet adoption drive that helped five animals find their furever homes — including one lucky kitten adopted by our Director of Operations! 🐾❤️

We were also proud to welcome our partners from Augusta Fire Department to join in the celebration. From great food and fellowship to giving back to the community, it was the perfect way to end an incredible EMS Week.

Thank you to everyone who donated blood, supported the adoption drive, helped organize the event, and continues to support our EMS professionals every day. 💙

Compassion, kindness, and patient-centered care are at the heart of what EMS is all about. 💙🚑

Central EMS, a member of the Priority Ambulance family of companies, is proud to recognize Med 3 crew members Alex Hanes and Simone Jackson for being selected as recipients of the Piedmont Newton EMS Hero Award — an honor presented quarterly to providers who go above and beyond in delivering exceptional care and compassion.

Alex and Simone were recognized for the extraordinary compassion they showed while caring for a hospice patient whose family was delayed arriving to the hospital. Rather than leaving the patient alone during what could have been her final moments, they stayed by her side, held her hand, and played soothing music until loved ones arrived.

Their actions are a powerful reminder that EMS is not just about medicine — it’s about humanity.

Please join us in congratulating Alex and Simone on this well-deserved recognition. We are proud to have them representing Central EMS and the Priority Ambulance family of companies. 👏
