Today is the first day you can participate in our Community Photo Album and Scavenger Hunt in celebration of America’s Semiquincentennial!

We’re creating a Community Photo Album of photographs representing Tucker’s history. These can be historical photographs or contemporary photos that serve as reminders of Tucker’s past. From June 1 to July 1 we will accept submissions to help us create this photo album.

To participate in the Scavenger Hunt, visit all ten iconic Tucker landmarks on our list and take a selfie at each one. Bring your photo proof to City Hall to receive either a 10-Year Celebration lapel pin or a 10-Year Celebration challenge coin.

Feel free to post publicly on your social platforms and tag the City of Tucker!

Get ready for our big, two day Open House! Friday, June 5, Cooper Carry - The Center for Connective Architecture will draw and illustrate ideas you've shared with us about the Henderson Park Master Plan. Residents may drop by during the day from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. to ask questions, observe the design process, review imagery and share your feedback.

At the end of June 5, Cooper Carry will pin up the drawings and exhibits for residents to see and meet with the design team Saturday, June 6 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at City Hall.

Happy Friday! It’s time for more Friday Facts, and today we have an update on our City Services.

We are transferring a majority of our fire marshal services back to DeKalb County. DeKalb County Fire Rescue Department has improved many of their internal processes over the last two years, reducing permit review times and increasing staffing. We are confident that this will be a smooth transition for our residents and businesses.

The DeKalb County Fire Department will now enforce fire codes, review plans and complete inspections on new construction, set occupancy loads and more. For a full list of services, please visit dekalbcountyga.gov/departments/public-safety/fire-rescue/fire-marshals-office
