Every day and especially on our election day, I thank each of you for your help and generosity. I am grateful for your support and for your Moore for State Senate District 6 Vote! It is due to your help that our campaign for our community is where it is today—a tremendous success in helping to inform, unite and to ask follow Georgians of State Senate District 6 to participate in this important Republican Primary Election for Moore and asking for their vote! Thank you!

Voting is the life blood of our democracy. It’s how we make our voices heard and how we hold our elected officials accountable.

With our combined efforts, by attending events, canvassing, making personal phone calls and sharing reminders here on social media to friends, family, and neighbors to vote, and by voting, Moore for State Senate District 6, we can and will be victorious in this primary!

I voted. Have you?
I encourage all residents of Georgia’s 6th Senate District to vote in the upcoming May 24 primary. I also encourage them to vote early if possible at one of the many polling sites open for early voting. That way, they can avoid the long lines at the polls on Primary Election Day and vote at their convenience. Voting is a fundamental right of any citizen and is the foundation of our democracy. Voting today enables citizens to choose their leaders of tomorrow. Each and every vote makes a difference. Voting is the best way for citizens to have their voices heard. Those who don’t vote surrender their voices to others who do vote. Democracy and good government suffer. If you don’t vote, your voice is not counted. Politics is not a spectator sport. Voters must participate for their own good and for the health of their communities. People have suffered and died for the right to vote in our country. It would be a shame to dishonor and disrespect their sacrifices by not taking the time to vote. I voted during the early period by casting my ballot on Saturday, May14. There was no line and the process took little time. I encourage all voters to do the same. Make your voices heard. The 6th District needs to hear from you. Vote Moore for State Senate District 6. My family has a history of serving in the education system. I am proud to be a product of Georgia’s public education system, a graduate from Georgia State University’s (GSU) Honors Program, and to continue our family lineage by being a founding member and continuously serving member of the GSU Honors College Board of Visitors working with students.

Ambassador Andrew “Andy” Jackson Young, Jr., former Mayor of Atlanta, Commend
It was an honor to be asked to assist with having a Senate Resolution created for our friend, Ambassador Andy Young for his 90th Birthday last Saturday, March 12th. A civil rights activist and a man of great reverence to God, his legacy is one rich in history, public service, generosity, and kindness. After being elected in 1977 and serving two terms in congress, he was appointment by President Jimmy Carter to serve as U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations. He was then elected mayor of Atlanta in 1981 where under his leadership, the city of Atlanta expanded programs for minority and female-owned businesses in all city contracts. Since then, he has continued to serve Georgia, the United States, and around the world. It’s leaders like him that make the world a better place. I am proud to know him and his brother, Dr. Walter Young. Thank you to The Young Family.

State Senate District 6 is comprised of 48% Cobb County and 52% Fulton County. It includes East Cobb, Smyrna, Vinings, and about half of both Sandy Springs and Buckhead, and extends south to North Avenue. While every community and individual in our district are different, we all care about our quality of life to work, play, live and grow.
As your next State Senator, I have the institutional knowledge and contacts from day one to serve you proficiently and effectively! I have worked with our legislative process for decades and will ensure our tax dollars are returned to our district and communities!

I would like to take a moment to celebrate the life of Sam Mansell. Serving Atlanta as our 53rd mayor from 1970-1974, he was the first Jewish mayor of Atlanta and, then, created the Buckhead Coalition in 1988, where he served as president for 32 years until 2020. Atlanta has a strong cultural history of which he contributed a tremendous amount. He will be missed but never forgotten.
