The Fuller Center for Housing of Merced County is dedicated to eliminating substandard housing locally and worldwide through constructing, rehabilitating and preserving
homes. Formerly Habitat for Humanity of Merced County, we have become a Covenant partner and our mission remains the same extending a hand up to families in need of simple, decent and affordable places to live. We build new homes f
or low-income families, who repay the building costs through zero-percent-interest mortgage payments that stay in the community to help other families get the same hand-up. We accept housewares, building materials, doors, windows, furniture, and appliances, all in working condition so we can resell them and the funds go into our building fund to build homes for low-income families. We are always in need of more volunteers to help customers at our store, to load purchases and unload donations as well as in the construction of the homes we will be starting to build very soon. We enlist volunteers from churches, organizations, local high schools, local community college and university campuses. To volunteer, please call 209-726-0850 and we will set you up with an interview, application, and further details.
