With the closure of the Lake Avenue Bridge, and to support families with junior high and high school children who use it to walk to and from school, we will implement a "Bridge Bus" to assist with transportation.
The Bridge Bus is only for students affected by the bridge closure, and will make two stops:
- One at the corner of Havens Ave and Owasco St, on the even-numbered side of the street
- One at Lizette St and Owasco St for students living on the odd-numbered side of the road.
- No additional stops will be added
The bus will drop off students at AHS and AJHS, with the reverse happening in the afternoon. There will be limited space on the bridge bus; therefore, if you would rather try for a walkback pass, please contact CarolAnn DiFabio to be added to the waiting list.
The bridge bus and its stops will only be in effect for the 2026-2027 school year, as the project will be completed next summer.
