🌽 TASSELS UP, SILKS OUT.
Corn is officially in reproductive stage R1. Over the next few days, pollination is in full swing. 🌾 Each silk needs a grain of pollen to make a kernel — no pressure, right?

Now’s the time to:
✔️ Watch for silk-clipping pests (aka-Japanese beetles).
✔️ Time fungicide right to protect yield.
✔️ Hope for mild weather to give pollination the best shot.

This is where yield potential gets locked in — and every detail matters.📈

⚠️HEADS UP GROWERS:

Pigweed, Palmer and Waterhemp are already showing up in our soils - three aggressive Amaranthus species that that can contaminate fields, kill high yields and emerge quickly.

These are fast emerging weeds that compete hard with growing crops. DON’T WAIT… Amaranthus grow as quickly as 3 inches a day, and easier to control in the early stages of growth.
