Bravo Zulu to SA Pearson! On Wednesday, he became the first recipient of the McCool Family Young Innovator Award. His exemplary academic performance, leadership, and aviation and military aspirations made him an outstanding recipient of this special honor. Major General Annie Sobel, a physician and retired Air National Guard Major General, presented the award.
This award was established in remembrance of the late William McCool, a naval officer, aviator, test pilot, aeronautical engineer, and NASA astronaut. He was also the pilot of the Space Shuttle Columbia which tragically broke up before landing in 2003.
