I’m so grateful to Congressman Lloyd Doggett and Leonard Aguilar for speaking and to candidates Jon Rosenthal for RRC, Claire Reynolds, Tanya Lloyd, Caitlin Rourk for Congress, Allison Bush, our public education candidates, and so many others who are putting in the work across Travis County.

It was so special to celebrate Indian Independence Day at the Texas Capitol this year!

I loved seeing Monsoon Dance perform and celebrating alongside Shruti Anand, a fellow HD 47 resident.

As an Indian American, I’m incredibly proud of my heritage and of the growing Indian American community that calls Central Texas home. I’ll always make sure every community has a voice at the Capitol.

When we tolerate it or use it to gain power, we risk losing something much harder to regain: our dignity. On top of campaigning in my own district, I’m proud to travel across Texas and do what I can to represent, uplift, and get out the vote within the Texas Asian American community.
