Automatic License Plate Readers (ALPRs), like Flock, violate our privacy by taking photos of our cars and license plates, logging detailed information into a massive nationwide database, and making it possible to track us and use AI to uncover our movements and patterns.

With the help of several neighborhood groups, grassroots organizations, and Indivisible chapters, Hands Off Central Texas led the organization of a pop-up visibility demonstration to protest ICE violence and demand justice for Lorenzo Salgado Araujo, Johan Sebastian Guerrero, and other community members whose lives were taken by ICE.

Our goal was to stand in solidarity with our immigrant neighbors and families, educate our community about how ICE operates in Texas, and make it clear that we do not want ICE in Austin, in Texas, or anywhere.
