Working in the Outdoor industry for 37 years prior to launching shār, was a privilege. I was searching for a way I might be able to give back. It occurred to me I could use my snack business as a vehicle to give back to the outdoors via ongoing contributions to The Conservation Alliance. Bingo! We donate 20% of our annual net profits back so, every purchase of shār is a vote for the outdoors. This was one of the fundamental reasons I decided to go forward with launching the company back in 2018. I hope down the road we are able to write some extremely large checks annually to TCA and in the process do our part to help preserve and protect our spaces in wild places.
