We recently spent a beautiful day at Strawberries on 903 in Ayden, NC with my wife and our son — and what an incredible local gem this is!

From the freshest farm-to-table produce to the joy of picking our own strawberries, this place is what Eastern North Carolina is all about — family, community, and supporting local agriculture.

If you haven’t had the chance to visit, make the trip. It’s more than just berries — it’s a reminder of how special our local roots really are.

• Touring the FBI Building — where I was met with professionalism and kindness from some truly outstanding staff.

The First Annual RamFest was an incredible success—full of food, fun, music, and meaningful moments that brought our community together. From the rabbit show to the elder walk, tractor displays, and Wiffle ball showdowns—there was something for everyone.

This position oversees the planning, development, and management of parks and recreational programs across the county. From supervising staff and programming community events to long-term facility planning and public engagement, this is a key leadership role in enhancing the quality of life for our residents.

Key responsibilities include:
• Managing recreational programming, facilities, and staffing
• Developing budgets and capital improvement plans
• Leading strategic planning and grant writing efforts
• Coordinating with schools, officials, and community partners
